Yoan L. was born in Douais (Northern France) in 1977, and moved to Perpignan (Southern France) when he was 18.
Influenced by many DJs, he made his decided to start deejaying on his own at the age of 20. In 1997, he made his first performances with DJ Cyril, who was then in charge of the turntables at the Club (St-Cyprien, in the nearby area). Later on, he became a resident at the Ché and the République Café in Perpignan, the after parties at the Flybar in Canet, as well as a club known as "La Dernière Séance" (the last session), after which he performed at la Calle Hot Cho (Saint-Cyprien) le Beila (Canet) and la Noche (Narbonne), still as a resident DJ.
Meanwhile, Yoan L., who definitely feels at ease at all times of the night, from 2 A.M. to the after hours, kept on mixing at several other clubs, such as ""l’Elixir" (Port Leucate), "l’Impact" (Canet), "le Contrôl" (Barcarès), "le LR" and "le Poséidon" (Toulouse). He also made numerous mix sessions in Spain, E.G., at "la Cova" (Barcelona), the " Palm Beach" (San Feliu de Gixols)at the "Blau" (Gerona), as well as the "Rachdingue", a surrealistic discotheque founded by Dali and Miette, near Figueras, where he has been working as resident DJ since 2009.
All these parties gave him the opportunity to perform along with famous DJs like Popov heretik,Alexander Robotnick,The Advent,Missill,69 DB,Interlope,Oxia, Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien, Pussyselektor, Citizen Kain, Chaotik Ramses, Inaqui Marine, David Carretta,Al Ferox, Umek, Franck de Villeneuve, Gomor, Oscar Mulero, J. Rob, Manu Perez, Laurent Hô, Raph Duma, Tom Pooks or Angel Molina, and, therefore, to improve his own mixes. It's also worth mentioning that Yoan L. is an active member of the organisations Melting Pot for Evolution and M.I.T, where he particularly enjoys being involved in what he sees as a tremendous human adventure. This allows him to work with DJ Antony, Passkal, Spdy T, Manimal and Small-Ewok. Lastly, one should also notice Yoan L.'s real passion for electronic music and his pleasure to spread a great deal of happiness trough his mixes. So, it now becomes quite easy to understand why deejaying turned out to be self-evident for him, and, let's say that he made his way into the big DJs' family!
